Phone on ears, Gabriella listened carefully. The call was from the court. Rafaella’s hit-and-run case was about to be heard publicly, and the court asked her to testify.
Gabriella dropped the phone and stared solemnly far away. Would she feel okay if she decided to let go of everything? Would things be better if she chose kindness over hatred?
She had no idea what the answer was.
On the day of the trial, Gabriella shocked the court when she told the judge and the jury that Rafaella was innocent. It was Rafaella's car, but it was driven by a man.
Loud gasps echoed inside the courtroom. Her testimony astounded everyone, including the defendant. Her testimony, however, shocked Levi and Adrian even more because they both knew the truth.
"What are you saying?" the prosecutor asked in surprise. "Miss West, this isn't what you told us."
"Miss West," the judge called her attention. "Are you telling the truth?"
