Chapter 104
A bodyguard in a black suit respectfully opened the car door for Izaak. He looked back at the apartment building. He really wished he wouldn’t have to come back.
“Sir, Miss Brown’s victim earlier is a retired teacher in her early fifties,” the bodyguard reported as Izaak entered the car. “She is a straightforward person. She intends to press on with the litigation.”
Izaak pulled out a cigarette packet and offered a smoke to the bodyguard.
“No, thank you, Sir," the bodyguard politely declined.
Izaak nodded. He lit a stick and brought it to his mouth. “What about her husband?” he casually asked.
“She’s a widow, Sir. But she has a son in the accounting department of one of the government-owned and controlled enterprises.”
Izaak nodded and shut the car door. He waited until the bodyguard got inside before he continued asking for a report.
“Tell me about the son,” Izaak said.
