The weather was getting colder, and the breeze was chilly. Even Rascal refused to sleep in his own cat bed. Instead, he sneaked between Queenie and Joshua under the covers and purring contentedly as he dozed off.
The next morning, Queenie and Joanne arrived at the shop to open up. A new dining table and a few chairs would be delivered that day. Over the past few days, they had already cleared out all the shelves. Queenie's handmade crafts would now be sold using the display wall and the showcase at the entrance.
"I didn't expect Liam to be so good at business."
"I didn't see this coming either. I've known him for over ten years, and I never realized he had this kind of talent. I bet even he only discovered it when the village renovation started," Queenie said.
Just then, her phone rang. It was a call from Hanson.
Hanson's voice came through, and he was groaning. "Oh my god… Queen, I'm not feeling well…"
