Queenie could feel Joshua's steady, strong heartbeat against her ear.
She was so flustered that her face turned bright red, but she was too caught up in the moment to notice. Stiff and silent, she just let him hold her close as they moved through the crowd.
If Joshua hadn't suddenly stopped, Queenie might have stayed in her daze forever.

Still blushing, Queenie kept her head down. She was too embarrassed and afraid to meet his gaze. She mumbled, "Yeah, let's take a look."
They walked into the flower shop, and the owner, immediately struck by Joshua's distinguished look, greeted them with a warm smile. "What can I help you with today?"
Queenie wasted no time. "I'm looking for a few pots of jasmine, gardenia, and fruit balcony plants."
