Chapter 29
Lucy's POV
Consciousness returned slowly, like swimming up through layers of reality. I could feel Felix before I saw him, his presence an anchor in the chaos of my transformed mind.
"Lucy?" His voice was careful, worried. "Are you... you?"
When I opened my eyes, the world looked different. Everything had layers now—past, present, and future—all overlapping in a dizzying display of possibility.
"I think so." My voice carried new harmonics, power threading through each word. "Though 'me' feels... bigger now."
Felix helped me sit up, his silver-green eyes studying me intently. "The mark... it's still changing. Growing."
He was right. I could feel it spreading, not just physically but metaphysically, reaching through dimensions I hadn't known existed.
"How long was I out?"
"Three hours. Or three centuries. Or three seconds." He smiled grimly. "Time's been... strange since you transformed."
I stood carefully, testing my new awareness. Power thrummed through me, not burning anymore
