Ivory Evans "You look so beautiful!" Marie said as I hugged her. "Thankyou." "Too bad that Leon doesn't want to come." Marie pouted but I know that she's up to something. I'm going to play along with it because I know this would be fun. "It's okay besides I think he's a little bit unwell. He kept saying that he has a headache yesterday. I think he overworked himself." I said and Marie chuckled. "Let's go inside, everyone wants to meet you!" She said as she grabbed my hand leading into her friend's mansion. "Lena!" I saw a beautiful red head woman smiling and walking towards us. "Hello Mrs.Tobby, happy birthday!" I said as I gave her a little present. "Oh Ivory, that's so sweet of you." She said and I smiled. "Too bad that your fiance isn't here but I will make sure that you will have fun today!" Lena said. "I can't wait.." I smirked. Lena and Marie dragged me everywhere to meet their friends and I found that they never introduced me as Leon's fiance. They both always introduced me as Leon's close friend. I'm pretty sure that Lena knew I'm Leon's fiance. "Are you Leon's girlfriend? We saw the news and you're really pretty." "She's not Leon's girlfriend, they both are close friends. Don't believe the media.." Lena said and I'm a little bit confused here. "Auntie Lena." We all turned to see- wow. "Adam, this is Ivory. Ivory, this is my nephew, Adam." Lena introduced me to the handsome Adam. Is this what God created 2000 years ago? I mean.. amazing. "Ivory." I said as I shook his hand. "I saw you a lot and you're more beautiful than the pictures." He said and I chuckled. "Thankyou." "You knew Leon? How come he never told me that he knew you?" Adam protested. "Actually, I'm Leon's-" "Childhood friend." Marie cut me and I turned to her confuse. "You two should talk." Lena said and dragged Marie away. Adam grabbed two glasses of champagne and gave one to me. "Actually, I'm Leon's fiancee." I said straight to the point and Adam raised his eyebrows. "I saw you on the news, people rumoured you two dating." He said chuckling. "Our parents' arranged marriage us." I said and he led me to the garden. "Well, that's interesting.." "Pretty much." "You know Leon used to.." He turned to me and I nodded. "I know but I like him." I said honestly. "Do you think he will be able to move on that fast?" "I don't know." I shrugged as I took a sip of my drink. "You and Celine are so different." Adam said as he gestured me to sit down. I sat across him and put my glass champagne down on the table. "Different? Tell me more.." "Celine is pretty much the perfect girl. If there's an angel on earth, she's the girl. Well-mannered, understanding, caring, loving, supportive and the list goes on. She's that perfect and everyman was jealous of Leon." Adam said as he put his champagne glass on the table. "Leon was pretty confidence that she will stay with him forever. He never got jealous, he never got protective and he pretty much trust her with everything." "I mean that's good, that's love.. we all should trust each other." I said and Adam chuckled. "She cheated on him for years." I'm speechless. "Look at you now, he didn't even bother to come here with you. You're his fiancee but you're here alone." I chuckled. "You seemed pretty jealous of Leon huh?" "What?" "You're trying to make me hate him, aren't you Adam?" I raised my eyebrows. "I mean.. he won't come here. He will never come, Ivory. You're the opposite of Celine, he hates that type. He likes independent woman and woman who can take care of herself." Adam said as he got up. "He wants someone to give him space so he could concentrate on his work, he wants someone who won't show off her body to the public because he wants her for himself on his bed and he won't be someone like you.. he hates attention and you're too beautiful to be ignored, Ivory." Adam left after that. "He will come here.. I will make sure of that." I said it too myself. I got up and walked back into the mansion to find Marie. I caught the sight of her and she looked mad. I quickly walked to her. "That's Celine, Leon's ex." I turned to Adam and I glared at him coldly. I saw Celine completely looked like what Adam described her as. She's like an angel, too innocent. It looks like she's begging for Marie's forgiveness. Marie saw me and her eyes widen. She got up from the sofa and walked to me. "Is everything okay?" I asked Marie. "Yeah, let's get some food." Marie said as she grabbed my hand. "That's Celine right?" I asked and Marie turned to me giving me a light nod. "Pretty much like what Adam described." I said and Marie's eyes widen. "Adam told you?" "I wanted to know because Leon didn't want to tell me." I said and she held both of my hands. "She just wanted my forgiveness. She cheated on Leon." "I should thank her for letting Leon go, she's stupid." I said and Marie smiled looking at me. "I knew you're the right woman for him." Marie said and I nodded. "Come on, let me introduce you to my other friends." She said and I nodded. She happened to introduce me to lots of his friends childrens. I made a lot of friends that day and it was fun before the wrath came.
