"If you don't let me go, I'll end his life, and don't think I won't!" My hand shook with the letter opener against Damian's neck, threatening Tony with every last ounce of courage I had left to give.
Tony's expression didn't budge from appearing to be cynical, something that terrified me from the moment I saw it. Did he not believe me? At this point, Damian had broken everything between us. Option to light a match and burn down the bridge between us. Did I honestly still care about Damian? Yes. Did I want to admit that to the two of them? No. I needed to show Damian didn't matter anymore.
"I don't believe you. If you didn't care about my son's life, you would have done away with him already. He's one of your closest friends and has worked for you for years. I highly doubt you would toss him aside so easily." Tony picked up his wine glass, swirling the dry red wine within his glass as if he was savoring the scene before him.
