Chapter 34 I Called You A Few Times, But You Did Not Respond

Jade originally wanted to eat outside with Easton, but her mother called her while they were on their way. Her mother had initially wanted to ask her when would she be back later in the evening. When she knew that both Easton and his daughter were with her, she immediately happily asked her to bring them home. Needless to say, Jade understood her mother’s intentions. She wanted to refuse her offer, but it was not convenient for her to say those words in the car. So, she ended up bringing the both of them back home with her. When they returned home, Jade's mother had just returned from her grocery shopping and had not started cooking yet. Without saying anything, Easton went straight to the kitchen to help. Jade stood awkwardly in the living room. She placed a palm against her forehead, feeling a little troubled. As a pregnant woman, she would probably be chased out if she went to join them. She had no choice but to stay where she was obediently, but she still felt a little ill at ease
