A trace of amusement appeared in Zephaniah’s cold eyes. He explained briefly. “This morning, I asked you a few times where you wanted to get down, but you did not answer me. So, I could only park at the nearest place.”
“I… I…” Jade stammered. She was so mad that she gritted her teeth. “I was thinking about something, couldn’t you speak louder?”
He must have noticed that the walls of the two buildings were made of glasses, so people could easily see what happened down below. He did not need to use his wits to figure that out.
The man raised his hand and casually brushed the hair from her face. He chuckled, but his laugh seemed to be slightly wicked. “It’s been a day, and now, you still want to torture yourself with this? Are you telling me that you’ve been thinking about me the whole day?”
Jade felt embarrassed, and she got mad. “Who’s thinking about you? Hurry up and tell me what you’ve learned, I need to go home.”
Zephaniah looked at her gently, and he held her hand as they walked.
