Chapter 38: The Car Accident

Aria's face turned pale, and she tightly pressed her lips together, choosing to remain silent. Back at home, Nora prepared to leave with Cherub, intending to cut off ties with Austin. However, upon entering the house, she was greeted by a room filled with roses. Cherub, dressed in a little suit, looked extremely well-groomed as he waited for her. Running happily towards Nora, he exclaimed, "Mommy, where is Daddy? He said he's proposing to you, giving you a surprise." Nora was stunned for several seconds, gazing at the romantic atmosphere that filled the entire house, from the entrance to upstairs, covered in roses. Every corner seemed to bear the warm traces of affection. However, Aria's arrival shattered everything — proposals, remarriage, all became irrelevant. "Cherub, we won't stay with your Daddy anymore. Let's go back home," Nora, in her frustration, packed up her things and left with Cherub to their small house. Cherub, still unaware of what happened, dared not ask too much.
