I couldn't believe that my nose was bleeding. How embarrassing!
I'd only seen things like that happening on TV before, and I'd thought that it was done just for comedic effect. I never imagined that it would happen to me.
"Mae, your nose is bleeding!" Brandon exclaimed, raising his hand to wipe it for me.
But I reacted faster, quickly pinching my nostrils and tilting my head back. "It's the heat."
"Is it because you haven't been drinking enough water?" Brandon asked, very concerned.
"Yes, I guess so..." I had no choice but to blame it on dehydration.
Brandon took out some tissues for me. "You've been running around a lot these past few days, and haven't had time to drink enough water. I should have paid more attention."
He was blaming himself again.
But, in a way, he was right.
Even though the nosebleed wasn't from dehydration, it was indeed because of him.
Thankfully, the nosebleed stopped after a short while. Brandon immediately picked me up in his arms.
