"What are you thinking? I'm sure Keith likes you," I said with certainty.
Keith's gaze at Lisa was full of affection, but right now, she was unconfident.
I wouldn't blame her though. After all, she had a crush on Keith for so many years without ever confessing because she thought he was too outstanding.
This showed her insecurity. Perhaps only Keith's direct response could heal her. As an outsider, there was no way I could make her understand this, so I didn't want to waste time convincing her.
"I'm heading back. Tonight, make sure you dress up nicely and get ready for your date. Also, make sure to switch your shifts ahead of time. No matter how urgent something is, don't miss the appointment."
I nagged her like I was her mom. She laughed, echoing my sentiment.
