Jewel's face turned pale immediately. Her eyes welled up with tears, making her look incredibly pitiful. "Chris, you find me annoying now, don't you?" Her tears finally spilled over as she spoke. Chris remained silent. There was a dark air surrounding him. "If Ian were alive, I wouldn't be bothering you..." Jewel's voice was faint but had an underlying pressure. "Fine, you can bother me all you want, but leave her out of it." Chris was referring to me. It seemed they were about to argue. I wasn't sure whether to stay or leave. "I understand.
