Chapter 1038
Lisa leaned against Logan slightly, her fingers tracing lazy circles in his palm as the two of them quietly walked out of the courtyard.
"What brings you here?" she asked softly.
Logan had parked his car farther away than usual today—just so he could have this quiet walk with her. "I came to find you."
He was so sure.
It was only then that Lisa realized—aside from me, she really had no one else. Which meant Logan could always find her with ease.
But that was just the way she was. She hated socializing. She'd rather be alone than make fake connections with people.
"You didn't even call. How were you so sure I'd be here?" Lisa asked playfully.
Logan's legs were long, but he walked at an unhurried pace, deliberately matching hers. "I've raised you for so many years. How could I not know where you'd be?"
That made Lisa stop in her tracks. She chuckled. "You raised me?"
"Didn't I?" Under the moonlight, Logan's features were even sharper, his face chiseled like it had been sculpted
