CHAPTER FIFTY TWO – A SHOW OF STRENGTH

But even as Julian hung up the phone, he couldn't shake the feeling of dread that had settled in his stomach. Alexander had always been a thorn in his side, but this time, he had gone too far. As Julian made his way to the board room, his mind was a whirlwind of thoughts and emotions. He had worked so hard to build Preston Enterprises into the successful company it was today, and the thought of losing everything because of Alexander's lies was almost too much to bear. When he entered the room, he was greeted by a group of somber faces. The board members had clearly heard the rumors as well, and they were looking to Julian for answers. "Thank you all for coming on such short notice," Julian said, taking his seat at the head of the table. "I'm afraid we have a serious problem on our hands." He took a deep breath and explained the situation, watching as the faces around the table grew more and more concerned. "This is outrageous," one board member said, slamming his fist on the table
