CHAPTER TWO HUNDRED AND SIXTY THREE – THE DEADLINE IS SET
As soon as the door closed behind her, Tony exploded. "A week? She's off her rocker! There's no way we can fix all that in a week!"
Charlotte tried to calm him. "Tony, getting angry won't help. We need to focus on solutions."
Mr. Davies slumped into a chair. "She's right. We can't afford to close, even temporarily. We'll have to find a way."
Linda looked close to tears. "But how? There's so much to do!"
Charlotte took a deep breath. "We'll divide and conquer. Mr. Davies, do you still have that list of handymen you used when you first bought the place?"
He nodded slowly. "In my office somewhere, why?"
"We'll need them for the structural issues - the floorboard, the leaky faucet. Tony, you know the kitchen best. Can you research companies that can deep clean the oven and recalibrate the fridge?"
Tony grunted, still fuming but nodding reluctantly.
"Linda, you and I can handle the deep cleaning - the bar, the windows, all of it. Mr. Davies, you'll need to coordinate with the beer l
