As the police prepared to leave, Mr. Davies gathered his staff. "Right," he said, his voice gruff with emotion. "I know we've all been through a lot. But now that we know who we're dealing with, we can take more specific precautions." Tony crossed his arms. "Like what? Bar the doors and windows?" Mr. Davies shook his head. "No, we can't let fear control us. But we will be implementing new security measures. No one works alone, no matter what. We'll install panic buttons throughout the pub. And I want you all to vary your routines. Don't be predictable." Charlotte listened, a knot of anxiety forming in her stomach. She had always viewed The Rusty Anchor as a safe haven. Now, it felt like a target. Linda voiced the question they were all thinking. "What do we do if Gary comes back? Do we serve him like nothing's wrong?" Mr. Davies sighed heavily. "For now, yes. We don't want to tip him off that we're onto him. But at the first sign of trouble, you hit that panic button. Understood?
