CHAPTER TWO HUNDRED AND FORTY TWO – HOW TO BEAT THEM
"Alright, team," Mr. Davies said as the meeting wound down. "These are all excellent suggestions. Charlotte, I'd like you to take the lead on organizing the live music nights. Linda, you're in charge of themed events. Tony, start working on those new menu items. I'll handle the local spirits angle and see what other partnerships we can develop."
As they all nodded in agreement, Mr. Davies's expression grew serious. "Now, I know times are tough, and this new competition is worrying. But The Rusty Anchor has been a part of this community for generations. We've weathered storms before, and we'll weather this one too. Together."
Charlotte looked around at her coworkers - gruff Tony with his hidden heart of gold, cheerful Linda with her endless optimism, and Mr. Davies, whose passion for the pub was evident in every worry line on his face. She thought of the regulars who had become like family, of the memories created within these walls, and of her own journey that had led her here.
