CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY SEVEN – LOST IN FURY
She knew that he was lost, that the betrayal and the anger had consumed him, had driven him to a place of darkness and despair. But she also knew that he was still the same man, still the same loving husband and devoted father that he had always been.
With patience and perseverance, Charlotte worked to bring Julian back from the brink, to show him that he was not alone, that he had a family who loved him and would stand by him no matter what. She listened to his fears and his doubts, offered him the comfort and the support that he so desperately needed.
And slowly, painfully, Julian began to heal, began to emerge from the darkness that had threatened to consume him.
As the dust settled and the echoes of the family's infighting faded away, Julian and Charlotte found themselves standing alone in the ruins of their once-proud legacy. The betrayals and backstabbing had taken their toll, leaving them battered, bruised, and utterly alone.
