CHAPTER FIVE HUNDRED AND TWENTY SIX – THE BOOKS DON’T LIE
As she drove to the studio, her mind raced. She had just quit her job, her safety net. But underneath the panic, she felt a strange sense of relief. At least now she could focus all her energy on saving the studio and her friendships.
However, when she arrived at the studio, she walked into a scene of chaos.
Marty and Ian were in the middle of a heated argument, their faces red with anger. Kendra and Molly stood to the side, looking uncomfortable and upset.
"Where is the money, Ian?" Marty shouted, waving a stack of papers. "These numbers don't lie. Someone's been siphoning off funds, and all signs point to you!"
Ian's face was a mask of outrage. "How dare you accuse me of stealing? I've put my heart and soul into this studio!"
Jasmine stepped between them, holding up her hands. "Whoa, whoa! What's going on here?"
