CHAPTER FIVE HUNDRED AND SIXTEEN – FUNDRAISING
Suddenly, a loud crash silenced everyone. They turned to see Kendra standing next to the supply shelf, a broken camera at her feet.
"I... I'm so sorry," she whispered, her face pale. "I was trying to reach for something and I knocked it over."
The silence that followed was deafening. The camera had been one of their most expensive pieces of equipment, crucial for documenting their work and creating digital art.
Ian broke the silence, his voice cold. "Well, I guess we don't have to worry about compromising on quality anymore. We can't afford to replace that."
Kendra's eyes filled with tears. "I said I was sorry! It was an accident!"
As another argument threatened to erupt, Jasmine suddenly stood up, slamming her hands on the table. "Enough!" she shouted, startling everyone into silence.
