CHAPTER FOUR HUNDRED AND TWENTY ONE – THE WRONG SHIPMENT
Jasmine sat at her desk in the Bistro's office, nervously adjusting her blazer as she waited for the investors to arrive. The restaurant had been open for a few months now, and things were going well, but additional funding could really help them expand.
A knock at the door made her jump. "Come in," she called.
Two men in crisp suits entered, smiling politely. "Mrs. Cesaro? I'm Robert Terry, and this is my associate, James Jahn."
Jasmine stood to shake their hands. "It's a pleasure to meet you both. Please, have a seat."
As they settled into their chairs, Jasmine began her practiced pitch. "As you know, Cesaro's Bistro has quickly become one of the most popular dining spots in Albuquerque. We're looking to expand our—"
A commotion outside the office interrupted her. Muffled voices grew louder, and Jasmine's stomach dropped as she recognized one of them as Carlos, Marco's younger brother.
"I'm telling you, these need to go straight to the office!" Carlos insisted.
