CHAPTER THREE HUNDRED AND TWENTY ONE – BACK TO CIVILISATION
They emerged from behind the rocks, brushing sand from their clothes and hair. The landscape around them had been transformed, dunes shifted and reshaped by the powerful storm.
As they took stock of their situation, it became clear that the storm had taken its toll on their already meager supplies. Their food was nearly gone, and what remained was gritty with sand.
"We need to keep moving," Marco said, his face set with determination. "We can't afford to stay out here much longer."
Jasmine nodded, trying to summon her remaining strength. "How much further do you think we have to go?"
Marco squinted at the horizon. "If we keep a steady pace, we should reach civilization by nightfall. We're close, Jasmine. We just need to hold on a little longer."
