Hearing that Jack was coming, my nerves went haywire. I thought about asking Astrid if it was true, but she just brushed me off and told me to sleep so the meds could work.
I tried lying down, but there was no way I could actually rest with my mind racing like this. It wasn't until dawn that I finally drifted off. When I woke up again, Jack was already sitting by my bed.
