Helen's thoughts spiraled uncontrollably. Had she been too obvious? Did Julien see through her feelings?
"Ahhhh—" she groaned, frustrated with herself.
She wanted to talk to her best friend, to get some advice and help decipher Julien's intentions. But when the words were about to leave her mouth, she hesitated. Maybe it wasn't what she thought.
For the first time in her life, she felt so conflicted and so lost over a man. It was like her emotions were caught in a tug-of-war.
