In the days that followed, Shelmaine avoided going back to her apartment altogether, terrified of running into Samuel. She had learned that he'd bought a place in the same apartment on the same floor. His intentions were all too clear.
The thought of it made her uneasy, so she'd been staying at her studio for almost two weeks now.
