Luna had the nerve to question me. Shouldn't I be the one asking her?
"Say something! What are you doing here?" she demanded, her voice tinged with impatience.
"I'm here to catch someone cheating," I blurted out instinctively.
It was the truth, but Luna's expression immediately darkened. Standing beside her was her ever-present accessory, Samuel.
"Edward, you'd better think carefully before you speak," Luna warned coldly. "Did you follow me all the way here from the house?"
"No, I didn't…"
Wait, why was I even explaining myself?
Samuel, of course, felt the need to butt in. "You don't seem like you were expecting to see Ms. Sherwood here, Mr. Richardson. Were you perhaps meeting someone else?" he said, casting a glance around the hallway, feigning concern.
"If you're meeting someone, just admit it. Why lie about catching someone cheating?" Luna paused, her face hardening. "Why are you meeting someone at a hotel?"
"Maybe his lease ran out, and the apartment's not convenient anym
