Before I could catch any key details, someone suddenly turned up the volume of the music in the room, effectively drowning out the conversation between the two guests. Great! Now I would never get my answers. I was grim-faced as I returned to attending to the guests with Desiree, and we made our rounds until the last of the guests left. After cleaning up the room, Desiree and I plopped down on the couch, exhausted from the day's work. Hosting was a tougher job than it seemed on paper.
