I knew what Uncle Gilbert and the others were after. They wanted to take whatever money they could from me and hobble back to the village. They had heard through the grapevine about my marriage with Luna, and I had received my fair share of calls pestering me for money since then. I had blocked their numbers, but I didn't expect them to rally a money-grubbing host to accost me at the hospital like this. "The Sherwoods' money has nothing to do with me. If you've heard about my marriage with Luna, then you surely would also know about the agreement I made with them. They will only give me the money for my dad's medical bills and nothing else." Uncle Gilbert grinned. "Edward, this is a test of your manliness, isn't it? With that pretty face of yours and your stint on television, surely you'll find a way to wrap your wife around your finger." Knowing him, he would not leave me alone even if I humored him and gave him the money. The pestering would not end there. As such, I said, "Unc
