Chapter 22
When Luna got angry, she spoke regardless of others' feelings. Thankfully, Estelle was sitting in the car and didn't hear what she said.
I snapped back, "She's your sister. Do I really need to remind you of her condition?"
That shut her up immediately.
I got into the driver's seat and stepped on the gas. I needed to get Estelle home quickly. There was still a pile of work waiting for me at the office.
"Edward, I don't want to go home. Can you take me somewhere fun?" Estelle asked softly, her eyes full of anticipation.
Fun? Where could we even go?
I couldn't remember the last time I had any fun. Since that incident, my relationship with Luna had fallen apart, and there had been nothing worth celebrating in my life.
"I'm sorry, Estelle. I have work after I drop you off. Maybe next time we can go out with Luna, okay?"
She pouted and whispered, "We already have a lot of money. Can't you stop working? If it's not enough, I have more. I just want you to be happy. You haven't smiled
