The sun had started to dip low in the sky, stretching out across the park bench Olivia sat on, her fingers highly sensitive and nervous, tracing the grain of the worn wood. She had picked this spot thoughtfully—a public place, neutral ground where three of them could meet with a minimal amount of unwanted emotion. Olivia's pulse sped up as she watched Nathan coming toward her from one end and Mark from the other. The two men locked gazes, flashing tension at each other before finally looking over at her.
