As Cassius made the arrangements with Clarissa (being careful not to give away the surprise), Mara found herself lost in thoughts of the future. She imagined their wedding day, surrounded by friends and family. She thought about the home they would build together, the life they would share. "What are you smiling about?" Cassius asked, noticing her dreamy expression. Mara turned to him, her heart full of love. "Just thinking about our future. All the amazing things we have to look forward to." Cassius leaned in, pressing a soft kiss to her lips. "I can't wait to experience it all with you, my love." The next morning, as they prepared to leave for the airport, Mara took one last look around their suite. So much had happened in this room, on this trip.
