Cynthia's voice was loud and clear. It echoed in the aquarium and sparked a discussion.
"Is that something a human would do?"
"She doesn't have to be so cruel even if that's her adopted daughter."
"Call the police! This is a crime!"
Hazel heard them mention calling the police and panicked. Pointing at Cynthia, she questioned, "How could you do this to me?"
Cynthia looked calm and unwavering. "Because you're inhumane."
Hazel choked and coughed, her face flushing red.
Just then, someone from the crowd took out their phone to report to the police. Hazel couldn't stay there any longer.
Hazel glared at Cynthia furiously and warned through gritted teeth, "Just wait. I'll go after you!"
