Cynthia sensed the strange look in Janice's gaze. She followed her gaze and saw Zachary, who had a condescending look on his face. He exuded an icy and dangerous air that would send chills down one's spine. He asked coldly, "Is there something I can't know?" His voice was stern. It sounded like he was questioning them. Cynthia felt awkward and troubled. She had merely wanted to scare Janice just now. Little did she expect Zachary to overhear their conversation. She wondered what he would think of her. Why would she care about what he thought of her, though? Having been questioned, Janice replied guiltily, "Zachary, it's nothing. It's just a trivial matter." However, Zachary paid no heed to her and cast his gaze on Cynthia. "How much do you plan to ask from her to stop you from saying it? I'll pay you to tell me." His words were slightly sarcastic. As Cynthia had expected, he now had a prejudice against her. Cynthia obviously didn't care about it, but for some reason, she fel
