Cynthia found herself falling into a strong, broad embrace. Her heart raced as she looked up to see the tall, commanding figure bathed in the morning light. He stood with his back to the sun as an air of mystery and elegance surrounded him. He was like a guardian angel descending from the heavens.

His sharp gaze swept over Cynthia, ensuring she was unharmed before turning to Liam. His eyes, icy and detached, locked on Liam with the kind of disdain reserved for someone utterly insignificant.
"Looks like yesterday's punishment wasn't nearly enough for you," Zachary said, his voice cold and merciless. He adopted the tone of a king looking down on a pathetic peasant.
