The Fairy Godfather’s Magic Wand

‘No,’ I said. He must have just gotten out of a shower. His hair smelled like eucalyptus. His face was shrouded in darkness. A drop of water glistened on his bare chest. Was he wearing a towel? I couldn’t tell. The room was too dark. ‘So you’re not backing out.’ ‘I’m not.’ ‘You’re sure.’ ‘Yes.’ ‘I won’t accept halfway cancellation.’ ‘I’m not going to do that.’ ‘Good.’ He advanced on me, lifted me off my feet and carried me to the bed in two big strides. He threw me onto the soft sheets and yanked off my towel. He was topless and wearing only a pair of boxer briefs. Black, of course. The sight of the bulge in his briefs set my pulse racing. I wanted to look away but I couldn’t. I gulped. My throat had gone dry. Biologically and psychologically, I was an adult. But when it came to matters of sex, I was worse than a precocious teenager. I’d never done it before. During the first year of marriage, being stupid in love and a bit of a Pollyanna, I thought I could cure Landon of his ‘illness.’ I paid for a subscription at a famous porn site and educated myself on neat and not-so-neat ways to have sex, but none of them worked for Landon. So I was armed with a boatload of theoretical knowledge but zero practical application. I was out of my depth here. The stranger seemed to notice my awkwardness. He hovered above me, supporting his weight with his arms. ‘When was the last time you had sex?’ His voice had gone husky and was sexy as hell. ‘Why are you shaking?’ I sucked in a deep breath. ‘It’s my first time.’ I regretted it as soon as the words left my mouth. I felt so self-conscious. I covered my chest with my arms. I averted my gaze. His breathing, getting heavier, was the only sound in the room. ‘I see.’ ‘But I’m a fast learner,’ I added, a little defensively. I was afraid he would laugh at me. Maybe he would have reservations about doing it with a virgin. Maybe he would be the one to cancel. But what happened next proved how little I knew about men. He lowered his head and crushed his lips to mine. It wasn’t a chaste kiss. Far from it. It was hard, demanding, ravenous. He parted my lips with his tongue and started taking control of my mouth. He swept the tip of his tongue over mine, activating nerves I didn’t know I had. I tasted the mint of his toothpaste. My eyes were open but unfocused. I let him explore, taste, take. I started seeing stars in front of my eyes. ‘Breathe.’ He pulled back and panted. ‘W…what?’ ‘Breathe through your nose, silly.’ I didn’t realise I was hyperventilating. He continued. His hand traced my cheek, my neck, the hollow between my clavicles. He drew little circles around my nipples and made me want to curl my toes and moan at the same time. But my mouth was occupied. His hand moved lower, and I lost my mind. His rock-hard pecs grazed my breasts. I could feel his heart thumping, or maybe it was mine. I was dizzy, out of breath. He let go of my mouth and went to second base. His face was buried in my chest, his hands kneading, squeezing, flicking. I arched my back. The man was a damn fine multitasker. I didn’t know when he took off his boxer briefs. I just knew they weren’t on him anymore, because I felt his hot erection throbbing against my thigh. It was skin on skin, with no fabric in between. He parted my legs and slid a finger inside. I gasped. His fingertip was cold. My body quivered under his. Ten minutes later, or was it twenty? I had no idea; I’d lost track of time. All I saw was a brilliant white light flashing across my mind. My mouth was open in a soundless scream. Then he told me, this was just the beginning. He mounted me and used his hand to guide himself inside. I thought I would tense up, but my body was a puddle of water. It didn’t hurt as much as I thought it would, probably because the 8,000 nerve endings down there were too busy experiencing a smorgasbord of other sensations. He rocked his hips, slowly at first, then faster, harder. His sweat dripped onto my face. The fairy godfather waved his magic wand and turned my transition from girl to woman into a mind-blowing experience. I was the mortar. He was the relentless, perpetual-motion pestle. He opened my eyes to a whole new world that no theoretical knowledge could have prepared me for. The subscription had been a waste of money. No amount of online learning could beat a class taught in person. The lesson lasted well into the wee hours. When did it end? I had no idea. I woke up on a bed with rumpled sheets, no blanket and no pillow—they were on the floor. I was spent, sore all over, and possibly bruised. Less than fifty metres away, waves crashed gently against the shore. It was a pleasant sound to wake up to. Sunlight streamed through a chink in the curtains. So it hadn’t rained, after all. I lay on my back, luxuriating in the glorious morning. Till I felt the arm thrown across my waist. The stranger was lying on his side next to me, eyes closed. The black cap was gone. I finally got a clear look at his face. His eyelashes were the first thing I noticed. They were impossibly long and thick. I touched them with my fingertip, just to check they weren’t fake. They weren’t. He had a handsome face, which made me wonder why he wore a cap all day. I thought he was hiding a disfigurement or something. If I were a man and I had a face like his, I’d throw away all caps and hats and fedoras. If Landon, voted Most Beddable Freshman in an unofficial campus poll, was a Seven, this man was a Nine. I deducted one point because Ten was just a theoretical ideal. Tens did not exist in real life. I traced the contours of the man’s face with my eyes. The sight of his lips reminded me of where they had been last night. The crazy, eye-opening, impossible-to-forget last night.
