The receptionist handed her a cup of green tea, smiled at her, and then turned to work. As time went by, Shane couldn't remember how long she had been sitting on the sofa. Half of her body was almost numb when she sat upright in one position. Shane didn't turn to look at the receptionist until her phone rang. She quickly took it out, looked at the number on it and pressed it without hesitation. "Are you looking for me?" It was Jake's voice. "Yes, sir." Shane asked anxiously. "What's the matter?"
