Chapter 109 UNVEILING SHADOWS.
JEREMY'S POV :
I don't know why I have become so elated lately, but I guess it was Karen's presence.
I realized that staying alone was a bit boring.
Her wounds were beginning to heal, and sometimes, she would volunteer to make food for us. She was such a nice Cook, and I enjoyed her meals.
She likes telling stories and asking me about myself, but she never wants to talk about herself on a certain level.
I was beginning to feel bad, not because she was not a good person, but because it seemed she was keeping so many secrets from me.
And whenever I tried to find out, she pretended everything was normal.
I came back home one day and observed her crying.
She had no idea I had returned; I stood outside and was eavesdropping. She was crying and soliloquizing, but I still was not able to pick up what she was saying.
I quickly knocked on the door and pretended I had not been outside for quite a while. She quickly wiped away her tears.
