Stanley had to put in a mountainous effort to snatch the position of general manager from Diane a few years ago, and even then, his efforts were in large part bolstered by the incident involving Diane. Business was not very smooth during his first few years after taking over the Shanahan family company, but it was still making money due to the perfect system that Diane implemented.
