CHAPTER EIGHTY TWO – A SILENT TIP
Rebecca rushed to meet Zaya, her heart pounding with anticipation and fear. She found her friend waiting anxiously in a quiet corner of the estate's expansive gardens.
"Zaya, what is it? What did you find out?" Rebecca asked breathlessly.
Zaya glanced around nervously before leaning in close. "I overheard something yesterday at the café. A man was talking on his phone, mentioning Irina by name. He said something about meeting her at the old boathouse by the lake tonight."
Rebecca's eyes widened. "The boathouse? Are you sure?"
Zaya nodded firmly. "Positive. He seemed pretty excited about it too, if you know what I mean."
Rebecca's mind raced. This could be the break she'd been waiting for. "Zaya, thank you. I owe you big time."
"Just be careful, okay?" Zaya squeezed her hand. "I've got a bad feeling about all this."
