CHAPTER TWENTY SEVEN – A SMALL CHANGE

As the first light of dawn began to creep through her window, Rebecca stirred, a small smile playing on her lips. She had no idea what the day would bring, but for the first time in a long while, she felt ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead. The memory of her dream - the flowers, the vows, the kiss - lingered in the back of her mind, not as a source of disappointment now, but as inspiration. It was a glimpse of what could be, if only she found the courage to reach out and grasp it. Rebecca sighed contentedly as she wiped down the bakery counter, the smell of fresh bread filling the air. She glanced over at Nancy, who was meticulously arranging pastries in the display case. "Hey, Nance," Rebecca called out, a mischievous glint in her eye. "Want to try something new with the cinnamon rolls today?" Nancy looked up, her brow furrowed. "What do you mean? We always make them the same way." Rebecca grinned, walking over to her sister. "I was thinking we could add a little twist.
