CHAPTER TWENTY FOUR – JUST FRIENDS
As they ate, Luca regaled her with stories of his travels. He spoke of bustling markets in Morocco, serene temples in Japan, and breathtaking vistas in New Zealand. Rebecca found herself hanging on his every word, imagining herself in these far-off places.
"Have you ever thought of traveling?" Luca asked, refilling her coffee cup.
Rebecca sighed. "I've dreamed of it, but... well, my family isn't exactly the adventurous type. The farthest I've been is the next town over."
Luca leaned forward, his eyes intense. "You should go. The world has so much to offer, Rebecca. So many experiences, sights, tastes..."
His passion was infectious, and Rebecca found herself nodding. "Maybe someday," she said softly.
After breakfast, they moved to the terrace overlooking the beach. The day was perfect - clear blue skies, a gentle breeze, and the soothing rhythm of the waves.
"Would you like to take a walk on the beach?" Luca asked. "The sand might be good for your ankle - gentle resistance and all
