CHAPTER TWO HUNDRED – A TRUE ALARM
Within minutes, the house was a hive of controlled activity. Luca's men moved with military precision, loading bags into cars and securing the perimeter. This time, there was no frantic rush, no sirens blaring. Everything moved like a well-oiled machine.
As they made their way to the car, Rebecca paused, gripping Luca's arm tightly as another contraction hit.
"You're doing great, amore," Luca soothed, his voice calm despite the anxiety churning in his gut. "Just breathe, remember?"
Rebecca nodded, focusing on her breathing as they'd practiced in their classes. As the contraction eased, she looked up at Luca with a mixture of love and amusement.
