CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND SEVENTY TWO – IDEAS FOR THE CHALLENGE
Nancy leaned in conspiratorially. "I'm thinking of doing a twist on Mom's famous cinnamon rolls. But instead of the traditional shape, I'm going to make them into a pull-apart bread shaped like a festival Ferris wheel!"
Rebecca's jaw dropped. "Nancy, that's brilliant! But also incredibly ambitious. Are you sure you can pull it off?"
Nancy nodded confidently. "I've been practicing. Plus, I figured with your help, we could make it happen."
Rebecca felt a surge of affection for her sister. "Of course I'll help. We'll make the best damn cinnamon roll Ferris wheel Gilda's Bay has ever seen!"
As they continued their lunch, discussing baking techniques and festival strategies, Rebecca felt a sense of peace wash over her. Whatever happened with Luca, whatever challenges lay ahead, she knew she had her sister by her side.
