CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND ELEVEN – THE SIGNS ARE THERE
The next day, they resumed their investigation with renewed determination. Rebecca was going through another batch of footage when something caught her eye.
"Zaya, look at this!" she exclaimed, rewinding the tape.
On the screen, they saw their suspect lingering near a wet floor sign. As they watched, he subtly moved the sign a few feet away from where it had been placed.
"Did you see that?" Rebecca asked, her voice filled with excitement.
Zaya nodded, her eyes wide. "He moved the sign! But why?"
"To make it less visible, maybe?" Rebecca suggested. "If someone couldn't see the warning clearly..."
"They'd be more likely to slip," Zaya finished, realization dawning on her face.
This discovery gave them the boost they needed. They now had a tangible lead to follow.
"We need to dig deeper into this guy's background," Rebecca said, determination evident in her voice.
Zaya agreed. "I'll ask Suso if he can get us any information on previous incidents or complaints."
