Chapter 16: Finding Comfort In The Storm

Louis stormed out of the office, his anger and frustration boiling over. He couldn't believe his father had threatened to remove him as CEO and replace him with Michael. He had put his all and is trying his best to keep the company afloat, why can't his dad just see that? He entered the Secretary's office and saw Beth at her desk, she looked so innocent as she concentrated deeply on what she was doing at her desk, oblivious of the things happening in her environment. His heart immediately melted, "Uh.. Beth, I would be stepping out for a while. Are the papers ready? " He asked trying to sound gently even though he was extremely pissed. Shocked, Beth scrambled to her feet "Yes, Lou... I mean.. yes sir." She wasn't expecting Louis to come to her office requesting for a file. Louis eyes narrowed "You don't have to be all polite when we're alone Beth, I've told you this before. Anyway, I would be stepping out for a bit, cancel all appointments I have now and move the important ones
