The negotiation chamber buzzed with a tense energy. Secretary Sato, her face a mask of steely determination, parried every jab thrown by the Voryn councilor Xylos. Amelia, her heart pounding in her chest, translated their words with practiced neutrality, all the while keeping an eye on the communication hub where Nadia monitored the situation.
