Chapter 12: Jealousy: A Bitter Pill.

In the hushed stillness of the early morning , Beth resumed to Hallow Empire, hoping to sort out some office work before the rest of the workers start trooping in. She is surprised to meet Micheal in the elevator, wondering why he came to work so early. “Good morning, Micheal,” she greeted him curtly. Micheal feeling extremely lucky to run into her crush this morning. He opened his teeth grinning from ear to ear “Good morning, Beth. Happy new year!” Beth wondered why he was smiling so hard but replied his greeting anyway “Happy new year!” Beth remembered that the last time she saw Micheal was at the Willer family dinner. That was the most dramatic dinner she had ever attended in her lifetime. Above all, she wished she hadn't attended. Micheal almost reading her train of thoughts blurted out what he was thinking.
