Dream Shattered

Olive POV I couldn't control the tears that kept pouring out of my eyes. 'I told you to stop crying, Olive," Granny repeated. 'Alexander is my grandson, and he can never say no to me" 'He's getting married to you and that's final" 'No, granny," I spoke up in a cracked voice. I sniffed my running nose and slowly wiped my tears with my hand. 'I prefer not to get married to Alexander any longer," I choked out. 'You can't possibly mean that, Olive" 'Fine, I understand how hurtful Alexander words were, but you shouldn't take those words of his to heart" I slowly rose to my feet. 'I'll take the morning flight tomorrow" 'Thanks for everything, granny" I said with a sense of gratitude, but she only watches me without saying a word.
