Chapter 30 Not Coming Back
"What are you on about now?" Calvin didn't even turn around, clearly unwilling to discuss the matter.
I repeated firmly, "Let's get a divorce."
He didn't love me anymore and seemed to have found true love. I couldn't understand why he was still holding onto me. Even if he was trying to get back at me for leaving him, wasn't three years enough?
I'd left him for two years. In return, he'd been openly unfaithful to me for three years in this marriage.
I felt that was fair enough. Leaving now would allow both of us to maintain our dignity and leave no debts between us.
He turned to me with a harsh look in his eyes.
"Summer, what game are you playing now? Divorce? I think you're just trying to get my attention. Haven't I already done enough?"
I didn't understand what he meant. What had he done? Invited his mistress into our home while making me attend family gatherings with him?
It was quite humiliating, and I'd had enough.
